APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS:

After the normal procedure of melting the bitumen at the asphalt plant, merely, shut the valve leading to the aggregate tank. This will result in a closed loop. Thus, allowing the bitumen to circulate inside the bitumen tank utilizing the tanks’ recirculating pump. Add the Asphalt Bitumen Booster in the ratio of 0.5% to 1.0% by weight to the melted bitumen. Allow it to recirculate in the tank until you have a homogeneous mixture. This circulation process requires from 2 hours to 6 hours depending on the amount of bitumen in the tank.
Once the mixing process is complete open the valve between the bitumen tank and the aggregate tank. Thus allowing the bitumen to be pumped to the heated aggregate in the tank. From this point follow the conventional procedure for applying asphalt. However, you must compact immediately while the asphalt is hot. Unlike the conventional asphalt, it does not need to be cooled down and will not adhere to the steel drums of the compactor. Thus, saving application time and money.
